NFL Waiting For Browns Vs George Kokinis Showdown

The Browns have been careful not to say General Manager George Kokinis was fired. They are reportedly formulating a case to explain his termination as "for cause" to exempt them from paying the remainder of his five-year contract. Unless the sides reach a financial settlement, they could wind up arguing in front of an NFL-appointed arbitrator or NFL legal counsel Jeff Pash.
