Having Phillips and Aaron Ross out in the secondary has also taken it's toll - most notably against New Orleans but I really don't think this has had as large of an impact as the lack of production from both lines. I also am forced to mention that Eli has just totally looked like shit in the last couple games - I'm certainly not going to try and pin this whole thing on him but against the Eagles last week he looked like a fucking rookie again, and on top of it some of the receivers, including Steve Smith, dropped some balls and missed some plays that should have been made. I have to agree with Coughlin that the problem is fundementals and THE ENTIRE TEAM appears to be having problems with them. I'm not in panic mode yet but if we don't beat SD this week I will be. Coughlin also recently said that this is a must win and I agree. |
