Patriots [Patriots] Patriots DE Jarvis Green Hopes To Return In A Couple Weeks

Patriots defensive Jarvis Green hosted his third annual Charity Wine Tasting Gala tonight in Providence, an event that benefited single mothers working in disadvantaged areas whose lives were affected by tragedy. Before the festivities, he provided an update on his knee that underwent minor surgery last week. "The knee is going good, rehab is going good," Green said, just off the red carpet. "Taking it one day at a time, feeling good. It had to be done. I've been playing with it for about four weeks, the injury, and it was getting worse and worse. It was time." Green (left, but that's not from tonight) said returning against the Colts would be premature but was hopeful to return in a couple weeks. "There's a whole lot of football left in December," Green said. "Hopefully we'll keep playing good football. But it was smart to get it done now."
