| Cardinals See Improvement In Their 32nd Ranked Rushing Attack | | | The Cardinals are ranked last in the NFL in rushing, a spot as familiar to them as a favorite chair. In Ken Whisenhunt's two previous seasons as coach, the Cardinals ranked last (2008) and 29th (2007) in rushing. Under the current pass-heavy system, the Cardinals are never going to move into the top half of the league, but Whisenhunt wants improvement and he sees signs of it happening. "I don't think anybody is scared of or scheming to stop our run game," Whisenhunt said. "I think had we been able to stay with our offense, we would have gotten into more of a little groove running the football," he said. "I think our run is improving, but I still think we're going to have to see it for, not just for one week, but for a few weeks in a row to get the confidence in it. We're still by no means there, but I think we're making progress." Source: Arizona Republic | | |
