Although Chiefs head coach Todd Haley came out this week and said that he doesn't have any issues with LB Derrick Johnson, who has played sparingly behind Demorrio Williams all season, Pro Football Weekly hears that's not exactly the case. We're told that regardless of what they're saying publicly, the new regime has been unhappy with Johnson, considered by many to be the defensive leader entering the season, ever since their arrival. Their main problem with him has been his effort in practice, which hasn't always been 100 percent.
I hate to see a talent just rot like this. It's frustrating for the fans....he's a playmaker. We don't have any and our coach is having him rot on the bench.

Is this story accurate (an effort issue)? Haven't seen or heard anything about Johnson like this. Agree with pctrips and to hear this for the first time is disappointing, if true.
I don't think it's true...I think it's Haley that has the bad attitude towards certain players...the one he should have an attitude with is LJ, and he seems to love him...go figure.
