The Jacksonville Jaguars were awarded free agent safety Anthony Smith off waivers from the St. Louis Rams, beating out the Green Bay Packers for his rights. The former Syracuse standout was signed by the Rams this week and abruptly placed on waivers. They placed cornerback Scott Starks on injured reserve today with Smith taking over his roster spot.
I'm still rooting for Anthony Smith, I can't believe he hasn't caught on anywhere. He would have been starting in Pittsburgh if he would have just kept his mouth shut.
