According to Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter, New England quarterback Tom Brady plays by a different set of rules. The NFL already caters to offensive players, which explains why penalties are slanted to that side of the ball but according to Porter, Brady's high profile status provides him an additional privilege seeing as how he routinely calls for penalties, and usually gets them. When Porter was asked on Thursday by Rich Eisen on NFL Network's "Around the League" whether Brady has a special set of rules, Porter said "no question." "When a guy can tell a ref when to throw a flag, and he gets it, he's got his own rules," Porter said. "They made the rule that you don't go at [a quarterbacks] legs for Tom, so when he feels that someone is going at his legs, he just points to the ref and he gets a flag. So I can honestly say that he gets his own rules."
I think Joey and Channing are having a contest on which Dolphin linebacker can have the biggest mouth. Since Channing is hurt, Joey is trying to step up his game.
