Jets Coach Rex Ryan Rejects Tony Dungy's Criticism

Rex Ryan is not looking for advice from Tony Dungy. When the Jets' rookie coach was told that the well-respected former coach had criticized Ryan's team for trash-talking, Ryan shrugged it off Monday. "I was brought up differently," said Ryan, the chip-off-the-block son of outspoken coach Buddy Ryan. "That's just it. I respect everybody, but I fear nobody. My thing is we're not going to get anywhere by tiptoeing. "People can take offense to it, that's fine and dandy. I'm not going to change who I am and how I coach because Tony Dungy says something. I respect him, but I'm going to be who I am. I've said that from day one. Because I know I'll be successful that way."

Ryan says, "I respect everybody" ?????

BULLSHIT !!! you're just an insecure, childish ass clown and your players are mirroring you.

I suppose Tony Dungy is just another one of those Super Bowl Champions that Ryan won't 'fear' .................. ooooh, wow, you're such a tough guy Ryan .............. not 'fearing' another SB champion. ]]

What an asshole .....................

Theres nothing wrong with trash talk as long as your team is WINNING. After starting out 3-0, the Jets have LOST 4 of thier last 5 games. Time for the trash talk to stop.

eh, i disagree. the trash talking that Ryan and the Jets have been exhibiting all season, regardless of winning or losing, has been hostile and disrespectful.

there's a difference between trash talking to be competitive/passionate that still shows respect............. the Jets don't know what that is ................ what the Jets are doing on a weekly basis with every opponent is what the Titans did stomping on the Steelers terrible towel ...................... ask the Steeler players and Steeler fans if they think that action was disrespectful to them, their team, and their history .................

Then Rex comes up with he's the son of Buddy Ryan, yada yada yada. Somebody really needs to give Rex a slap in the head about this.
