The San Francisco 49ers confirmed Monday that left tackle Joe Staley will be sidelined for a significant period of time with a knee injury suffered in Sunday's 18-14 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Staley suffered sprains to two ligaments -- the MCL and PCL -- in his right knee and will be sidelined for six weeks. Staley had an MRI exam on his knee to determine the damage.

sims actually looked pretty good on sunday. the only sack freeney got was actually on a stunt where he went to the inside and one of the 49ers interior linemen missed their block.

they may be o.k. although they have other injuries that are mounting and could prevent them from catching the cardinals.
