QB Tony Romo And WR Roy Williams Not On Same Page

  #1

As Tony Romo's connection with Miles Austin continues to strengthen, his rapport with Roy Williams is still languishing. Williams, despite a TD reception in Sunday's win against Seattle, caught just two passes for 19 yards and he's made just 14 catches all season. "Roy and Tony are not on the same page," coach Wade Phillips said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "They're getting closer. They talk to each other afterward, but a couple of times, Tony thought he was going to go here and he went there and vice versa. We've just got to keep working at that." Williams was targeted seven times, and said after the game he was "frustrated." "I feel involved," Williams said. "I don't know how many balls I got thrown my way, but it was a bunch. But it wasn't where it needs to be. I got my opportunities; we just didn't make the best of it today."

eh, just more cowboy bashing for the most part. let's keep in mind that part of the reason austin has burst onto the scene is because of how much attention defenses pay to Romo/Williams. As defenses now must focus more on Austin, opportunities for Williams will open up. It was the same thing with Tashard Choice. When Barber and Jones were dinged up and Choice did enough that defenses had to start focusing on him, they were able to use Choice as a decoy more often and it has opened things up for their other guys.

this is just reading too much into the situation.

Have Roy Williams wear a blonde wig, and Romo should be able to stick it to him then.

yeah cause it's hurting us big time... i think one NFL team is ahead of us in Total Offense, and thats the Saints... Man that Roy trade really didn't pay off.

[^^ sarcasm].

I could care less, this could be a topic after every game, as long as our offense is moving forward, instead of backwards.. With Miles stepping up the way he is, just going to take less pressure off of Roy, and he will start getting some catches one day, he got the TD against Seattle.. and then we still haven't really worked Witten into the mix, So you could say our offense isn't even running on all cylinders right now, and look at us. As long as our Oline isnt killing us in Penalties, we're perfectly fine.

Sooner or later we're going to need him to contribute in games... It could be the determining factor to whether we win or lose any given game.

Saying that "Romo and Williams aren't on the same page" is just a polite way of saying that ROY WILLIAMS SUCKS BALLS and the Cowboys paid WAY to much for him.
