Cardinals Remain High On WR Early Doucet

Despite the fact he has yet to catch a pass this season, Pro Football Weekly hears the Cardinals remain high on 2008 third-round WR Early Doucet. "The biggest thing with him has been injuries," said one team insider. "Last year it was shoulder and rib injuries that set him back. This year it's been a hamstring. But they haven't given up on him. He continues to look good in practice, and we should see plenty from him down the road."

they can afford to bring him along slowly with their deep WR corps

next year is his year

When he has played, he's good. A Breaston-type receiver. However, one more long-delaying injury would probably have the Cards looking into a pretty good crop of college WO's. The Boldin contract still looms on the horizon and that deep WR corp would take a good hit if he goes away.
