Detroit Lions linebacker Larry Foote wants a contract extension from the Lions because he eventually wants to end his career in Detroit, the Detroit Free Press reports. Foote, a two-time Super Bowl winner with the Steelers who is a Detroit native and played at the University of Michigan, wants to help guide a Lions turnaround. “I would love to finish my career here, no doubt about it. I think it's up to me the next 10 games to really show my worth.”

After his successful days with the Steelers he's now had the taste of success followed by futility. Sounds like one of the good guys out there.

No reason why the Lions shouldn't keep him. They don't have anything better right now and he gives them a nice veteran presence. He's coming towards the end of his career as it is...
