Linebacker Lofa Tatupu was placed on injured reserve Friday, a move that was expected as soon as it was announced he underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle Thursday. Cornerback Marcus Trufant was activated from the physically unable to perform list, filling Tatupu's spot on the roster. Coach Jim Mora asked if the plan remains for Trufant to be involved in just nickel coverage packages. "Well, we're still evaluating it," Mora said. "We're going to just see where we are on Sunday ... The one thing we don't want to do is come out of that game saying, 'We wish we would have played Tru more.' "So we're very conscious of that."
