Shawne Merriman has not recorded a regular season sack since Week 17 of the 2007 season. While that only spans seven games, it's still alarming. Merriman is clearly playing at less than 100 percent this season as he battles an Achilles injury, and you have to wonder if the Chargers might be best served by resting him at some point and letting him get back to 100 percent health.
