Titans QB Kerry Collins Staying Positive About His Benching

itans QB Kerry Collins declined to criticize his benching after the team named Vince Young the new starter on Thursday. Collins led the team to an 0-6 start, but teammates and coach Jeff Fisher said the winless start wasn't his fault. Said Collins, via the Tennessean: "I have nothing to be ashamed about. I practiced hard, worked as hard as I could and it is frustrating when you fall short, but at the end of the day I can live with the effort I put into it. It wasn't because I didn't try and wasn't putting everything I had into it .... "I fully expect everybody in this offense to support Vince. The offense has familiarity with him. I don't think it wil be a hard transition, He has been around here. A lot of guys have played with him before. I don't think it will be that big of a deal."

He's smart for not making a fuss about it.

um, this article pulled all of his positive quotes about it. i saw the interview and he went on to say, "I'm not happy about it" and "I guess they had to do it. They're paying him a lot of money." ............... which is not exactly a ringing endorsement of VY's skills.

Thanx Capt, Collins has been through a shitload of crap in his life but I believe it's more on how they are using the team then the way Collins is playing, he's a handler not a gunner.

He might have been drunk all last year, that's how he forgot he was Kerry Collins.
