Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw Has Cracked Bone In His Foot

Ahmad Bradshaw went to see an ankle specialist on Wednesday who told him what the Giants had told him: he's cleared to keep playing on a cracked bone in his foot. At least until the end of the season, or until the crack becomes a full-blown fracture - whichever comes first. "Of course. I know that. It all depends on the bone and how it is in my foot," Bradshaw said Thursday as he revealed to reporters the full extent of his injury. "I just plan on going out there and giving my all. If it breaks, it does and I'll get surgery. If not, I'll wait until the end of the season. Hopefully, then I won't need it. But more than likely, I'll plan on having surgery." Bradshaw said he has a crack in the fifth metatarsal of his right foot.

And of course the foot bone is connected to the leg bone - and a running back without good leg bones isn't much good.

Bradshaw is a trooper, willing to play until it breaks to help the team. If he gets the surgery now he will be placed on IR, so if it's not bothering him too much he might as well try to help the time. Good attitude.

Great, so now it's Eli and Bradshaw with lingering foot issues that could get worse at any time.

You could tell last week the foot was bothering him but unfortunately I think it takes several weeks for a cracked bone to heal, maybe even longer when it's in your foot. I would be inclined to let it heal so we have him for the post season but not if that means he misses the rest of the regular season. Although I do have Jacobs in fantasy football so...
