Updating a previous report, the Seattle Seahawks will place offensive tackle Walter Jones on injured reserve, ending his 2009 season, according to the Twitter page of beat writer Danny O'Neil. Jones did not play this year due to complications after microfracture knee surgery. The team has been saying that they would give him more time before making a decision, but it looks like his knee is still giving him plenty of trouble, Jones is 35, and while this doesn't necessarily end his career, it seems like a possibility that we have seen the last of Jones in the NFL.
