| Vikings New Deal With Coach Brad Childress Is Imminent | | |
Vikings head coach Brad Childress could receive a contract extension within the next two to three weeks, according to a report by Clark Judge of the CBS Sports website. Childress is in the fourth year of a five-year contract and it would not be surprising to see him receive an extension with the Vikings off to a 6-0 start. Judge cites a source as saying that an extension is so close that an announcement could come early next month, but another source said nothing is "imminent" at this point.
