The Carolina Panthers dealt for more defensive tackle help tonight, acquiring former N.C. State standout Tank Tyler from the Kansas City Chiefs on the eve of the NFL's trading deadline. Carolina gave up a fifth-round pick in the 2010 draft, according to a league source. Tyler (6-2, 306 pounds) was a third-round pick in the 2007 draft but came to Kansas City under former coach Herm Edwards and didn't fit as well in the new regime of general manager Scott Pioli and coach Todd Haley.
