Redskins defensive tackle Anthony Montgomery, sidelined the first five games because of a knee injury, acknowledged he has been informed the team is attempting to move him before Tuesday's trade deadline. "I don't know if it would be better [to be traded] because at heart I'm a Redskin," he said. "This is where I was drafted, this is all I know. Obviously, I would love to be here. But if that's the move they feel is best for the team then I'm all for that, too." With the offseason arrival of Pro Bowl defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, Montgomery, who started 15 games in the 2007 season, was expected to have a reduced role on defense. But versatile defensive tackle Lorenzo Alexander also moved ahead of Montgomery, a Redskins sixth-round pick in the 2006 draft, on the depth chart.
