According To The Harris Poll, Cowboys Are Still "America's Team"

The Dallas Cowboys are still America's favorite football team according to The Harris Poll's latest pro football poll. When asked to name "America's favorite team," respondents ranked the Cowboys first , followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots, according to poll results. This is the third straight year that the Cowboys came in at No. 1. Rounding out the top ten were the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Tennessee Titans and the Minnesota Vikings.

When asked "who is America's Favorite Team" of course people will say the Cowboys they have used that saying since forever like the term "Commitment to Excellence" brings the word Raiders to anyone's mouth. I wonder what the answers would be if the question was asked differently?

I don't think Raiders when I hear "Commitment to Excellence".

I hate any team name followed by nation...

Raider Nation
Steeler Nation
etc.

So ghey.

The question was posed without any influence. They did not imply that the Cowboys were already America's favorite team, nor did they even use the word America in their question:

"What are your two favorite National Football League teams?"

Thanx for the clarification cboyd...

SoDev, you're the first fan I've talked to that didn't think Raiders when hearing or seeing the phrase "Commitment to Excellence", not saying the phrase is accurate but they are billed as such and the Raiders are the team that started using Nation in referring to their fan base, Steelernation just sounds stupid.

yep, this poll is screwed up royally. through my travels across the country, there are clearly more cowboy, raider, and steeler fans than any other team. the colts? the titans? seriously? i've never met one fan outside of their hometowns.

I agree, the "Nations" are stupid. Steeler Nation is stupid however, Steeler Mafia is even worse...

"Commitment to Excellence" make me think of the black banner with the silver lettering. It's all Raiders...if they'd only adhere to their slogan...lol...
