Whether revenge was a motivating factor or not, Brett Favre got his pound of flesh from his former team, the Green Bay Packers, on Monday night. After three touchdowns, 271 yards and a 4-0 start capped by beating his former team 30-23, Favre was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week today. Favre, dubbed the best quarterback in the division by NFC North colleague Jay Cutler of the Bears, has been named conference player of the week 14 times in his career: 11 with the Packers, twice with the Jets and now once as a Viking.
