Days after the Bears lost middle linebacker Brian Urlacher to a season-ending wrist injury and saw starting strong-side linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa go down with a knee sprain, Williams approached head coach Lovie Smith and defensive coordinator Bob Babich about his role. "I think any guy in this locker room would be frustrated -- especially when a spot comes open -- if you want a job and you don't get it," Williams said. "But at the same time you have to respect that the coaches are going to put the best guys out there. If you just keep doing your job, playing hard and making plays, your opportunity will come." He is slated for his second career start Sunday against the Lions with Hillenmeyer out with a rib injury and Tinoisamoa still recovering from the knee sprain. Source: Chicago Tribune | | |
