Steelers WR Hines Ward Feels He's Being Targeted

Hines Ward feels he has become a targeted man in the NFL. Ward was called for two offensive pass interference calls during the Steelers' 23-20 loss to Cincinnati, the city where Ward broke linebacker Keith Rivers' jaw last year on a vicious crack-back block. Ward feels that the penalties in Cincinnati are much more than a coincidence. "That's where it all went down in Cincinnati (last year)," Ward said. "I'm pretty sure they got a high alert, and (were told to) be conscious of Hines." "We've been running the play for two years now. Nobody's ever called me blocking on that play," Ward said. "I think the guy was just looking for me to do something. It seems like they're watching every little thing that I do."

lol...what he did is hardly a penalty. All homerism aside, running your pattern that happens to cut in front of a defender is hardly offensive pass interference. At least call a penalty on him for an illegal block or something dirty that he's known for...lol

I'd be willing to bet out of the 6 posts before this, maybe 2 of you saw, let alone remember what play he's talking about...lol.

I didn't see the plays so I won't comment on them, but even if I assume they are both terrible jokes of calls... and while I respect Ward and the way he plays the game, I'm sure he's gotten away with a call or two, so cry me river.

It made a 2nd and 5, a 2nd an 15 at the beginning of the second half. Please don't tell me you blame that INT return on a 10 yard penalty.
