An NFL spokesperson would not say whether or not Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones violated the league's gag order preventing owners from speaking out on CBA matters, but said Jones was not speaking for the league when he said publicly that the next CBA will not contain a revenue-sharing provision. Jones told the Minneapolis Star Tribune the revenue-sharing plan in the current CBA would go away after the '10 season and would not be in the CBA currently being negotiated. "When the labor agreement is over, (the revenue sharing plan) will be over and when there's a new one in it won't be a part of it," Jones said. NFL Senior VP/PR Greg Aiello said, "Clubs are advised not to talk about the CBA, but if you do, you are responsible for what you say. I wouldn't call it a gag order." Aiello added if an owner said something damaging to the league's position, "they would be held accountable and could be fined." Asked if Jones violated the policy, Aiello said, "I am not aware of that."
