Bill Belichick Not Fielding Any Richard Seymour Trade Questions

Michael Vega of the Boston Globe reports the Patriots just concluded a triple-header conference call this afternoon with director of player personnel Nick Caserio, defensive coordinator Dean Pees, and head coach Bill Belichick. There seemed to be an organization-wide omerta when the subject of Richard Seymour's trade Sunday to the Oakland Raiders was broached. "I'm sure there are probably questions about Richard,'' Belichick said. "Along with our statement there, on Sunday, at this point because we don't have rights to Richard there isn't a lot I can say about Richard or his situation.'' Belichick declined to confirm whether Seymour's trade was a done deal. "It's not a topic I want to address,'' he said.
