Newly acquired free safety Anthony Smith said he was surprised when the Packers released him Saturday. “I thought I performed really well. I had two interceptions, a couple of sacks,” he said. “I guess Ted (Thompson, the Packers GM) had a different opinion.” Looking for depth at the safety position, the Rams claimed FS Anthony Smith off waivers Sunday.

Default Where were the Browns

Frustrating that the Browns had an opportunity to sign this guy before the Packers and despite their lack of any depth at safety, they passed on him .... three times: draft day, free agent, and now to the Rams.
