Jets Sign P Steve Weatherford, Cut P A.J. Trapasso

The Jets musical chairs at punter continued today as they released A.J. Trapasso and signed Steve Weatherford, according to a person with knowledge of the situation who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The Jets claimed Trapasso, a rookie free agent, off waivers yesterday from the Titans. But this morning, they worked out Weatherford and decided to sign him and released Trapasso.
