Browns To Cut RB Jamal Lewis?

Could Browns running back Jamal Lewis be cut Saturday when the Browns trim their roster to 53? League sources said rumblings began a couple of days ago that Lewis, who turned 30 last week, could be one of the dozen players the Browns let go, and espn.com's Adam Schefter Friday put Lewis at the top of his list of big-name players on the bubble. Nationalfootballpost.com's Mike Lombardi also speculated Lewis will be cut.

He'll get picked up quickly if that happens. Jamal's still got some gas in the tank. If they do cut him, it'll probably be because of money.

I can't envision him being dropped by the Browns...that will leave Davis and pretty much nothing else to run the ball. I think if Davis takes over (which I see happening,) Lewis could be a nice compliment to Davis and a good runner twoards the end of the game when the Browns are ahead and looking to pound the rock to run out the clock...

Wait a minute...

mangini already said that lewis is not getting cut, man people read an article or two. He'll likely be on a short leash, but he is not getting cut.

They paid him a roster bonus in March. Plain Dealer said if they cut him, they basically paid him 10 mil for last year. Doubt he's going anywhere. I love the fact that James Davis is doing so well that people are talking about it though.
