What are your thoughts on signing Rod Hood and what type of role do you envision him filling? "He was a player we tried to recruit and sign in the offseason. It didn’t work out at the time; he went to Cleveland. But anytime we can bring a player in who we feel can compete and help make us better as a football team, we will do that. In this case, we have a few days to look at him. We had a feel-good for him when we brought him here in the spring and tried to recruit him. So we had done a lot of work on him prior to signing him. This wasn’t a knee-jerk move. It’s more less just to see what he is, and hopefully we’ll be able to make some determination with the snapshot that we get these next few days. But it’s no more than just bringing in potentially another good player to come in here and compete." Source: chicagobears.com | | |
