Pro Football Weekly hears that undrafted rookie DT Desmond Bryant was one of the more pleasant surprises of Raiders training camp. Bryant moved ahead of veteran Terdell Sands as the top backup at tackle, and the team may view Sands, who has underachieved in the eyes of close observers, as expendable if Bryant finishes the exhibition season the same way he started it.
From what I've been reading, Bryant has been having a helluva training camp and I won't be surprised if he starts. Great success story for Bryant, an undrafted rookie out of Harvard.
