| Giants DT Chris Canty Dealing With A Torn Hamstring | | | Giants head coach Tom Coughlin revealed today that the hamstring injury that has sidelined defensive tackle Chris Canty the last few weeks is actually a torn hamstring “that’s not progressing the way we want it to.” Coughlin called it a “serious” injury that will keep him out of practice this week, and presumably out of Saturday night’s game against the Jets. Canty, who has yet to play in a preseason game and only got in a few training camp practices before suffering his injury, had expressed optimism that his return to the field would be quick, though the fact that no information on it was coming out of the Giants organization was seemingly a sign that the injury was worse than it appeared.
