Firstly I gotta say that the more I see Gruden on TV the less I like him. And second he and Jaws were all over this Favre shit because (I think) it gives half assed lame-o pundits like Gruden an easy softball story to blab about and get his face on TV. Chris Carter has been the only one I've seen to this point who has seemed at all 'real' in his take on the Favre story and for that I gained alot of respect for him.

first off Gruden is a moron. He loves every player and thinks that every player on every team is a super person. He is a joke of an analyst, in the panthers game, he said tom coughlin leads the league in grit and john fox leads the league in effort. he is a blowhard.

second, gruden obviously does not know favre's history playing in a dome. Many of his worst games came playing in a dome.

Favre's last playoff games 3-6 in his last 9 playoff games.

Favre's career QB rating in late in games that are close - 69.1, He led the league in interceptions just last year. In 129 games that were close and it was late in the game dude is 57% completion with 32 TD's and 43 int's.

Just because he has played for a million years and thrown a ton of TD's puts this guy on a pedastal that I just don't think is as deserving as some just hand over to him. Maybe that is also due to most times I saw him play the Eagles he absolutely blew. 60 career rating against the Eagles with the most Int's by a team not in the Packers division. (16)
