The Jets have signed punter Ken Parrish, a former police officer who was recently released by the Eagles, after having him in for a tryout Sunday morning, The Star-Ledger has learned. Parrish, a 6-foot-1, 210-pounder from East Stroudsburg, will likely kick next Monday night, Aug. 24, against the Ravens. Head coach Rex Ryan was livid with the performances of punters Reggie Hodges and T.J. Conley in Friday night's 23-20 preseason loss to the Rams and vowed during his morning news conference that he would find a punter from somewhere before the season opener.
