Pro Bowl linebacker Derrick Brooks said the Saints were impressed with his workout Wednesday. Although he left without a contract, the Saints told Brooks they will contact him again after Friday's preseason game. Meanwhile, Brooks said the Oakland Raiders contacted his agent and expressed an interest in the 14-year pro. "It went well," Brooks said in a text to message the Times. "I was told they liked how I looked. They want to get through Friday's game and talk more this weekend."

Raiders or Saints would be a good fit for him, and if happens to become a starter in either place he will rack up alot of tackles, maybe even a few picks. I'm a huge Derrick Brooks fan always have been.

I can't see DB going to the Raiders. That franchise doesn't fit his image at all. I'd be very surprised if he signs on there.

Sucks when you don't get hired on the spot.
