Cleveland Browns starting receiver Braylon Edwards said Wednesday that not participating at the start of training camp had nothing to do with his contract. Edwards, who is in the final year of his deal, suffered an unspecified injury in June that became a hot topic of discussion, mystery and speculation in Cleveland. One far-fetched theory making the rounds was that Edwards was unhappy with his current deal. On Wednesday Edwards shot down those rumors. "The Browns and I are on the same page, and my team is on the same page," Edwards said. "I've never made any contract [demands], so I don't know where that would come from. That's just more rumors and hearsay to spark up more controversy."
