Panthers DE Julius Peppers said he harbors no ill feelings towards his team despite not being able to fulfill his desire of moving to a new francihse for this season. “Nobody has to worry about me taking any plays or games off,” Peppers said. In February the Panthers franchised Peppers and even though several trade scenarios were rumored, Peppers ended up signing his franchise tender and committing to Carolina for a salary of $16.7 million. So is he happy to still be with the team that drafted him in 2002? “Definitely,” Peppers told the paper. “I have no reason not to be. I'm under contract to play for this team. During this time, everything I can do to help this team win is going to be done on my part. That's been my attitude and approach in every season I've played. I have no reason not to put forth full effort in any game that I play.”
It'll be interesting to see if the team and the fans are as happy as he is that he's still there - if a player on my team bitched like that to get traded and then didn't it'd take a couple big plays out of him before I'd be able to fully get behind him again.
