| Owner Says Patriots Have No Plans For Michael Vick | | | New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said during a radio interview Saturday that the team doesn't have any plans to sign quarterback Michael Vick. Kraft told Sirius satellite radio that the Patriots don't need another quarterback to go with Tom Brady, according to an account of the interview in the Boston Herald. "For us, that's an academic problem," Kraft told Sirius, according to the Herald account, "because we've got the number one player in the world at that position, as far as I'm concerned. Why would be want to do anything that would take [Brady] off the field for one play?" Patriots Coach Bill Belichick had declined to rule out the possibility of signing Vick when asked about it during a news conference Friday. Source: Washington Post | | |
