Patriots WR Joey Galloway Returning Punts?

Joey Galloway is getting his first taste of Patriots training camp, and the 14-year veteran likes what he’s seen. Galloway, 37, has 682 career receptions, 10,710 receiving yards, 77 touchdowns, and a 15.7-yards-per-catch average, tops among active players with at least 300 catches. With Randy Moss and Wes Welker entrenched as the top two receivers, and the Patriots’ heavy use of three-wide-receiver sets, Galloway is competing with Greg Lewis - acquired in a trade with Philadelphia - for the third receiver role.“I don’t really look at it that way,’’ said Galloway, who was also returning punts yesterday. “I’m coming out here just to compete, period, that’s just what I do. After that it will be up to the coaches to decide what role or what part I play. “My goal is always to be whatever the offense needs me to be.’’

Sorry Pats fans... I just don't see this working out. Jo-Jo is too long in the tooth to make a difference in the return game. I'll be surprised if he makes though the season even if he doesn't take over punt return responsibilities.
