Titans center Kevin Mawae has changed his return date from the start of training camp to the start of the regular season — Sept. 10 at Pittsburgh. The Titans placed the 16th-year pro on the active PUP list (physically unable to perform). Mawae said he is pleased with his recovery, even though it’s been slower than expected. He expects to start when healthy. “You don’t lose your job to injury in the NFL,” he said. “I’m not worried about it. My concern is my health. Leroy is good enough to play. He’s very capable. (But) it’s not a competition between me and him.” Said Coach Jeff Fisher: “No one’s concerned at this point about Kevin and his ability level and his understanding. We’re going to monitor it. We’re not going to rush it.”
