| | | With Dolphins training camp set to open Sunday, talented young offensive guard Donald Thomas says he is "getting there" in his attempt to return from a pectoral injury that kept him out of most offseason practice sessions. "I'm feeling good," Thomas said Wednesday during a team-sponsored clinic in Fort Myers. "I think it's time I get back on the field. I've been off the field for awhile, so I'm ready to go whenever I can get back on that field and show them I can still play football." Thomas, 23, said reports that he'd suffered a torn pectoral muscle weren't accurate. "It wasn't torn," he said. "It wasn't right. I'll put it like that. It happened during the spring
but it's healing up. It healed up nicely, and we should be ready to go for the season." It's unclear whether Thomas has received medical clearance to return to the practice field. Source: Sun-Sentinnel | | |
