Lions Rookie TE Brandon Pettigrew To Start Immediately?

Tom Kowalski from MLive.com says that barring any unforeseen circumstances, Lions rookie tight end Brandon Pettigrew will step into the starting position for the Lions and while he'll make some rookie mistakes early, he should grow into the job quickly. While he's soft spoken off the field, Pettigrew is emotionally charged on it. Highly competitive and focused, Pettigrew was very animated after catching the touchdown in the goal-line drill because he had defenders hanging all over him.

I agree Detroit got great players in Delmas and Pettigrew, I can't believe I'm saying this but Detroit had a really good draft...must have been all the groundwork layed by Matt Millen...
