Police Release 911 Tapes In Steve McNair Case
Filed Under: , , , ,
Posted By: wide right 07-08-2009 , 08:43 PM

The 911 tape made after Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi were found dead was just released by the Metro Nashville Police Department. Steve's friend -- Robert Gaddy -- made the call and was hysterical as the dispatcher desperately tried to get information from him. Steve's roommate Wayne Neely initially discovered the bodies and then notified Gaddy to call 911.

Ward I usually agree with you, but not this yime....If I walked in and saw my buddies body shot to death, I can honestly say I'd be pretty useless when I called 911, thats got to be fucked bro.

I'm just saying, when you call 911, you gotta talk to the operator. You can't just sit there with dead air. I mean really, the guy has to say people have been shot, run downstairs, outside or whatever and get the address.

If you saw your buddy shot, I'd think I'd figure shit out a little quicker than this guy did in hopes to save my buddy. I'd probably be a little more panicked than this guy too.

Just my opinion.

He sounded like he knew they were dead already so the call to 911 was just a formality more than trying to save lives. He was dealing with emotions more than the phone call.

Exactly. He was dealing with the loss of a friend, not a celebrity.

It seemed like he made a point not to say his name.

That aside, I'm with Ward on this one. I still don't understand why HE was the one calling, why not the other guy?
