Despite their 0-16 record in 2008, the Detroit Lions continue to round up players who are happy to join the team. The latest addition, receiver Dennis Northcutt, recently gushed about the trade that sent him from a stadium with tarp-covered seats to a venue with bag-covered heads. "I'm excited," Northcutt told Nicholas Cotsonika of the Detroit Free Press.

I suppose it would be nice to step into a situation where it is pretty much impossible not to be an improvement - unless they are a team of rapists then the 2009/10 Detroit Lions will be a (comparative) success.

Dennis Northcutt excited [s]about still having a job in the NFL despite his mediocrity as a player[/s] to be in Detroit? Okay... if he says so.
