Bills [Bills] Bills Rookie DE Aaron Maybin Could Start If He Plays The Run Well

Maybin's strength against the run will ultimately decide whether hell be able to compete for a starting role at defensive end. At the very least hell be a situational pass rusher. Defensive line coach Bob Sanders believes Maybin read run plays well during spring practices, how he holds up when the pads are on will be the determining factor as to whether he can be an every down player. Aaron is a high energy, talented, and determined young man, said head coach Dick Jauron. He gets a little bit better every day through his effort and the application of techniques that are being taught.

Maybin is so far away from being a starter it isn't even funny.

He reminds me of a Robert Mathis type. I think he will do very well with Buffalo

Was Mathis a one year wonder? Cause that is what Maybin was, not to mention that he struggled to carry the added weight he needed. I'm happy the Bills picked him over Orakpo.

mathis is much more stout and much stronger. maybin is tall and lanky and very thin, hes got explosiveness but wont hold up against the run....i cant believe they passed on orakpo for maybin as an everydown end in a 43, hes a pass rushing end or a LB conversion guy...they either just LOVE big 10 guys or paul is really persuasive
