Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press Gazette speculates that the generous contract Packers linebacker Brady Poppinga signed last offseason could put his roster spot in jeopardy this year. Poppinga was a starter when he signed his deal which pays him $1.9 million in base salary, but he's a clear backup in Green Bay's new 3-4 defense. Poppinga was asked at Green Bay's recent minicamp asked if his salary will put his job at risk. "That's something you'd have to ask the front office. I don't know how they budget things out."
