| Pete Dougherty, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, reports Green Bay Packers QB Matt Flynn is well ahead of QB Brian Brohm for the backup quarterback position. Flynn has an average arm at best but is a leader and has enough mobility to make some plays when things break down. Brohm is better than last year but still had too many head-scratching moments as well as a surprising number of ducks this summer. Source: Pete Dougherty, Green Bay Press-Gazette |

| I ain't surprised. Brohm has more upside and perhaps in the future will be better, but as of now, Flynn should be the backup. While he may not look like much, he's a fucking gamer.

| It's more of a statement about Brohm's lack of progress.

| Flynn almost won us that pre-season game last yr...with like 2 seconds left..anyone remember? Dont remember who it was thrown to, but it was a good throw, but they dropped it. Flynn is a sleeper for sure, and brohm, well, hes not what i thought he would be.
