Ward is entering his 12th year. Holmes is entering his fourth.
Holmes is putting up much better numbers through three seasons than Hines did...granted Holmes has a better team and surroundings than Hines did, but the point is that it is too early to say that Holmes won't be a great player...
I see no reason you couldn't put Hines Ward into a Hall of Fame conversation...he's going to have numbers just as good and better than some of the current members, he's got two Super Bowl rings, a Super Bowl MVP, All-Pro Selections, Pro-Bowls. I don't know if he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, but he'll be in the conversation when he retires.
