Chargers [Chargers] Chargers Pull The Plug On Chula Vista Stadium Site

The San Diego Chargers have pulled the plug on their courting of Chula Vista as a site for a new football stadium. Chargers special counsel Mark Fabiani posted a story on the Chargers' official site saying the efforts are on hold because of long-known complications surrounding a power plant on the 130-acre bay front site under construction. The Chargers are looking at the city of Oceanside again, but an airport near the site could pose insurmountable problems.
