Rams [Rams] Rams QB Marc Bulger Admits This Is His Last Shot

Rams quarterback Marc Bulger told the media that he realizes that this season is probably his last chance as a starter for the Rams. "I understand we have to win," Bulger told FOXSports.com after a recent offseason practice. "It's not fair to our fans or the ownership. If we don't, I know it starts with me. It's probably my final chance." After being a perennial Pro Bowler early in his career, Bulger has been a major disappointment over the last few years as the Rams have turned into one of the worst teams in the league.

Its not HIS fault. How good would you be if you had to constanly run backward and for you life. Why dont you just ask joey harrington or even alex smith. Granted neither one of them were really good..but they also didnt really get a chance with the lines that they had to play with.

Wow Bulger backers in the house. I disagree though. To say it is not totally his fault may be accurate but to say its not his fault at all is wrong. Yes the line sucked, but Bulger has ZERO mobility. Add to it his mental state of not being sure of himself and you have the Bulger of today. I know being sacked as much as he has in the past couple years would make most of us play scared also, but we are not NFL quarterbacks. That and as many games as I have sat row 4 50 yard line and watched week in and week out, most other starting QBs in this league would of only been sacked half the amount he has been with any sense of the hash marks and any skill at moving side to side. To sum up this rant Bulger is to blame equally as the o-line is

You can't blame it on his mobility. In '06 he threw for 4000 yards and got sacked something like 50 times...mobility has very little to do with him being productive. In '05 or '04 he was sacked over 40 times and threw almost 4000 yards.

It's not the immobility that is killing Bulger...

No but the mobility is why he gets sacked alot not just his O-Line. Notice I also stated his lack of confidence as adding to why he is playing so bad. I just hate when people say its all the O-Lines fault. It is both the lines and the qbs fault when he is playing as bad as he is

In the NFL it is a gift to have a QB that has " AWESOME MOBILITY" Good mobile Quaterbacks score alot of touchdowns by rushing and extending the play with mobility.( Examples: Vince Young , Mike Vick, Drew Brees, Steve Young )

Its" Not All" Bulgers fault. There are issues with the Offensive Line that also play a big part in any QB's success, but it is a nice to have a good mobil QB, Lastly, The Rams are going to have "rebuild" this team, Suggestion: If Mike Vick is available next year it would be a good idea to let him compete for the starting QB position.
